Helpline
We are pleased to announce that, thanks to funding from the Big Lottery, we now have a stoma care nurse available on our Helpline to answer your questions and offer support.
Our free Helpline offers information, advice and support to anyone who has or may need to have any sort of bowel or bladder diversion, including colostomy, ileostomy, urostomy and ileo-anal pouch. We also assist family, friends and carers who may be concerned or need support themselves.
Telephone
You can call one of our operators to talk about all aspects of daily life with a stoma, including travel and leisure activities, relationships, practical management of your stoma, diet and pre-op concerns.
Helpline operators are available from Monday to Friday, 10am - 3pm. All Helpline calls are taken by trained operators who have had stoma surgery. Call us on 0800 731 4264 or 0118 324 0089.
You may prefer to email the Helpline. If so, please remember to include key information such as what type of stoma you have, when and why you had your stoma formed, along with your query and any photographs that may help: advice@ostomylifestyle.org
Privacy
The Helpline service is free and confidential. We respect privacy. All information is kept confidential to Ostomy Lifestyle and will not be shared with any third party. We may monitor calls for training purposes. To see our full confidentiality policy, please click here.
Busy times
As we are a charity operating on limited resources, on rare occasions we may be unable to answer your call immediately. In this situation please leave as much contact information on our answerphone as you can and we will respond as quickly as we are able.
